Gordon Froud, my bud with the galleries, hosted friends and fam who all fawned over my diva-ness (dad knows how to dress me, dude, he studied fashion design), and were utterly entertained by grannie jeanette - the new york jewish sitcom all in one person. What a night! On the left, mom and dad having thai food (I had boob).”

Last night, Sidonie wore her first pair of jeans on her first big night out! We hit the town and painted it red (politically - we went for Chinese food), and she was (mostly) very well behaved. Plus the waitresses mostly gaped and oohed at her (in Chinese). In the pic on the right, she’s smiling for grannie after her splash the night before, and saying, “i’m too cute for this hoodie, too cute for this hoodie, so glad my dad was broody…”

So, we’re not sure when exactly it all began; it’s been more of a build-up than a definitive, “Now Sidonie laughs,” but she has definitely crossed a threshold into the terrain of smiley, noisy, giggle-like breathing with vocal chords, um, thingers. She’s also chatting away (”ha ho uuh oooh,” and the like) - not sure if she thinks she makes sense, but yowza, it’s cute.
And look how big - taller by the day. I think it’ll soon be time to put Sid on the runway (or maybe the basketball court?), so that Nicole and I can start living in the style to which we’d like to become accustomed….

Today Sid got her vaccinations, and it was her most exhaustingly heartbreaking cry since her first tummy ache (if not worse). Good thing Michel was there to make her feel better.
Oh, and Sid says, “Happy Independence Day, America. Impeach Bush.”
